About Me
Hi, I’m Emma, the heart behind Farm & Food.
I’m a first-generation farmer living in Northern Ireland with my partner, Paul. Together, we’ve built a life we love on our little patch of countryside, raising sheep, pigs, and poultry, and growing a thriving garden full of seasonal fruit and veg.
Farming wasn’t always my path—my journey began with a deep love for animals, which led me to become a dog groomer. But over time, I found myself drawn to the land, the animals, and the satisfaction of growing and creating something from scratch. Today, I’m as likely to be baking bread in the kitchen as I am tending to our animals or harvesting fresh produce from the garden.
This blog is a glimpse into our everyday life—a mix of farm stories, tried-and-true recipes, and practical tips for sustainable living. You’ll find everything from preserving techniques to field-to-fork meals that highlight the joy of eating homegrown and local ingredients.
Why do I share? Because I believe in the magic of simple, honest living. I hope to inspire you to reconnect with the food you eat, the animals you care for, and the land you live on.
When I’m not busy on the farm, you’ll find me in the kitchen whipping up something delicious, experimenting with new ways to preserve our harvest, or spending time with our amazing sheepdogs, Kanga and Ru, who are always by our side.
So, whether you’re here to learn, cook, or simply follow along on our journey, welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
