Hello, and welcome to my little corner of the internet! My name is Emma, and I’m so excited to share my journey with you. I’m a first-generation farmer based in the beautiful countryside of Northern Ireland, where I’ve traded city life for muddy boots, livestock, and the joy of homegrown food.
My passion for animals started at a young age and has grown into something much bigger. When I’m not out on the farm with my flock of sheep, you’ll find me in my dog grooming salon or in the kitchen, experimenting with recipes. Life here is wonderfully busy, full of adventure, and fueled by my love for good food and sustainable living.
The Farm Life
Together with my partner, Paul, we’ve built our farm from scratch, starting with just two sheep and growing it into a thriving flock. We raise pedigree Texels and Suffolks, alongside commercial ewes, and recently added pigs, poultry, and soon-to-be calves to our growing menagerie. If you’re a fan of animals, you’ll love meeting our two incredible sheepdogs, Kanga (an Australian Kelpie) and Ru (our Collie X Kelpie). They’re always at the heart of the action and feature heavily in our farm’s daily life.
Food Lover at Heart
Food is where my farming and creative passions collide. There’s something deeply satisfying about turning homegrown produce into delicious meals. Whether I’m baking fresh bread, preserving garden vegetables, or crafting a hearty pork pie, my kitchen is always buzzing with activity. Sharing these recipes with you is my way of celebrating the joy that comes from knowing exactly where your food comes from.
Why I Started This Blog
